April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started the guitar and piano lessons in the 7th grade, which ignited the interest of her. The first song she wrote was called Different which she composed at 12 years of age. At 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing and honed her musicianship skills. Soon after she began taking excursions to write with her father, who lived in NY as well as LA. April featured other topics in her track"Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt with issues such as peer pressure disabilities or even teen suicidal ideas. Lockhart is also gaining a growing fan base as a lifestyle blogger and works for popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. She has a disability that is a component of her identity, but it's not all of the picture. Because of this, her Instagram profile doesn't shy away from her disability, but it doesn't center around it as well. What message is it sending? The message? We are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity bodies aren't what appear. I do not want this to determine me. I do not wish to become a disability influencer where it's the only thing I discuss because there are other aspects to my life. Lockhart speaks via video from her home in Nashville. It doesn't affect my everyday life. It's all normal, and I have learned to adjust. Since it's a part of who I am and something worthy of discussion. Lockhart who is an inspiration for self-acceptance in general she is on a long journey to achieve this. Yet, she confesses having moments of feeling uneasy about her appearance, and the clothes which displayed her arms. It's her choice to wear what she'd like, and proudly shares photos of her in these outfits. For her, self-love is an extended process. This is, however, the case with anyone who has insecurities. People you associate yourself with, who know your personal story and who can look into your heart are the best people who can remind you of the things you're concerned about.
